It is a true luxury to be so near the beach, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a charming costal town.
Below you will find a general overview and pictures of some of the towns and neighbourhoods that give the Costa Blanca South its unique character. When you are looking to buy property, location is very important.

Guardamar del Segura
Our office and headquarters are in the charming little coastal town of Guardamar del Segura, which is located between Santa Pola and Torrevieja, approximately a 30 minute drive from the International Airport of Alicante.
Here you will find some of the most beautiful beaches Spain has to offer, as well as the sand dunes and pine forest that gives this town its unique character.
Guardamar offers all the charm you would expect from a Spanish costal town, but at the same time it has many modern and cosmopolitan places to eat, drink, and shop. It is a town that never sleeps and is lively all year around with many fiestas and cultural events.
It has all the amenities one would need, such as banks, hotels, telecommunication, a large bus station for easy transport links etc., and every Wednesday you have the very popular street market that is the life of the town.
In the center of town you have the beautiful Reina Sofia park, with a large pond with ducks, turtle and even peacocks, we well as several playgrounds for the children.
From March until October, there is a seasonal amusement park set up just below the Reina Sofia park, as well as a night market full of all sorts of trinkets and bargains.
The Chollo street closes for cars, and all the restaurants put out their tables and offer lovely tapas, Italian pizza, Chinese noodles or Argentinean steak.
In Guardamar you can find many lovely properties near the center, the marina, the river and all amenities. This is ideal for those who like to be close to everything – both town and beach. Everything is within walking distance, and you can get by very well without a car.
In the surroundings of Guardamar you also have many beautiful urbanizations and residential areas, such as Playa Moncayo, Los Estaños and Eden, and La Marina and La Esquera.
Playa Moncayo is a lovely area right outside of Guardamar del Segura. Front line to the beach, and tucked behind the sand dunes and pine forest you find this beautiful and quiet residential area.
The area is named after the beach itself, Playa Moncayo, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole region. It is a stunning white strip of sand and calm water, and it is never as crowded as the other beaches closer to the city.
You have facilities such as snack bar and sun beds for hire, and even have the luxurious Ibiza style lounge beds.
The residential areas of Playa Moncayo are ideal for those who wish to be within walking distance to the beach but also in a calm and relaxed environment outside the busy city.
Guardamar is only a 10 minute walk away, and there is a nice cycle path as well.
Los Estaños & El Eden
Los Estaños and El Eden are two cozy urbanizations next to one another, right outside Guardamar del Segura. They are both well established residential areas with beautiful community pools and well kept common areas.
In the neighborhood you have a few restaurants/pubs, and Guardamar is only a 5 minute drive away – or a 15 minute walk if you are feeling sporty.
This area is a very popular area because of its excellent location – both its proximity to the town and beaches of Guardamar and at the same time its quiet natural surroundings, with lots of nature tracks for walking and cycling.
Here you also find the new modern development of Los Estaños Beach. This new urbanization is an aesthetic masterpiece of contemporary white lines and modern features, and in addition to a beautiful community pool and well kept garden and common area, it offers a unique leisure complex with an indoor swimming pool, spa and fitness center.
La Marina & La Escuera
La Marina and La Escuera are two very popular urbanizations on the Costa Blanca, between Santa Pola and Guardamar del Segura.
La Marina is actually split into two, the little old coastal town with a charming beach promenade with stores, restaurants and gorgeous sandy beaches, and the well established
residential areas on the upper side of the N-332.
The urbanizations of La Marina and La Escuera are right next to one another, and are both beautiful and well planned residential areas with plenty of parks, cycle paths and green areas.
They both have plenty of restaurants, shops and bars along with other amenities such as tourist office, ice cream parlours and hairdressers, making them completely self sufficient.
These areas are recommended for those looking for a private villa with a luxurious pool and plenty of outdoor space for evening barbecues under the stars.
Torrevieja is one of the main cities on the Costa Blanca, approximately 40 minutes south of Alicante airport, and is home to some of the most fabulous white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters you will ever see – most of them holding the European “Blue Flag” for clean sea and excellent facilities.
It is surrounded by two large and beautiful salt lakes, the “Salinas de Torrevieja” that are an official nature reserve, and one of the main reasons the WHO has named this region one of the healthiest places to live on earth.
The beach promenade and fishing marina attract visitors from all over the world, and set the backdrop for this fun and dynamic city.
During the day Torrevieja offers a wide range of leisurely activities and entertainment for the whole family, and at night it comes to life with its cosmopolitan variety of restaurants, bars and night clubs.
Torrevieja is a fantastic shopping destination, and you can find everything here, from the big shopping centers, to street side boutiques, and outdoor markets.
La Mata is a smaller coastal town just on the north side of Torrevieja that is famous for its beaches and natural parks with its healthy pink salt lakes and flamingo birds.
It is an ideal location for those how want to be right on the beach, but not quite in the hustle and bustle of Torrevieja.
La Mata has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars, cafés and other leisurely activities and entertainment, and is in close proximity to both Torrevieja and Guardamar del Segura.
Punta Prima is a well established seaside resort south of Torrevieja that is becoming increasingly popular, due to the emergence of high quality luxury residential areas.
The location of Punta Prima is very unique and makes it fantastic. You are within walking distance to some of the best beaches in the area, and near the salt lakes, several golf courses, and many shopping destinations such as La Zenia Boulevard.
Punta Prima is a 25 minute drive from San Javier airport and 45 minutes from Alicante.
Here you find many new building projects, since this is a popular area that is being developed. For example, you have the new urbanization El Mirador, which is an exquisite residential complex consisting of 130 homes, all incorporating a modern design and high quality finishes.
This gated community is really something special due to its large communal areas with beautiful gardens, 2 outdoor swimming pools, and a spa with a gym, several types of saunas and Jacuzzis. Local services and amenities as well as the beach are only a short walk away.
Orihuela Costa is a coastal region on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante, but near the border to Murcia, where you have La Manga and the beautiful Mar Menor.
Despite its name, it is actually more than 20 km from the center of Orihuela, and the region covers several seaside resorts such as Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, Villamartin, Campoamor and Mil Palmeras.
Orihuela Costa is an ideal destination for those looking for a family holiday on the beach, with its 16 kilometres of diverse coastline. It is well equipped for all needs and desires, with lots of amenities, leisure attractions, shopping centers and golf courses.
La Zenia has everything one needs to enjoy the good life in Spain, all year around. It has beautiful blue flag beaches, fabulous golf courses, all the cosmopolitan amenities, and lots of Spanish and international restaurants, bars, pubs etc.
All of this is set against a beautiful backdrop of Spanish countryside to be explored.
La Zenia has been for some time one of the most famous resorts on the Costa Blanca, and the newly opened large shopping complex La Zenia Boulevard helped place it on the top of the list.
The seaside resort of Cabo Roig is located at the southern end of the Costa Blanca in Orihuela Costa. The charming town is home to several blue flag beaches, and enjoys a spectacular mountainous backdrop.
Just 10 kilometres from Torrevieja, the town itself has wide palm-lined avenues and delightful and lush gardens, with spectacular views to the Mediterranean, the La Manga Peninsula and the Mar Menor.
Cabo Roig is a popular destination for Golfers, and offers many internationally renowned courses nearby.
When it comes to fine cuisine, you are really spoiled in Cabo Roig, with an exceptionally large variety. This can also be said for the leisure and entertainment variety ranging from horseback riding to tennis lessons and diving.
Villamartin is the name of both an urbanization and golf course in the Costa Blanca area. It is a new development and is consider to be a very prestigious residential area.
Its residents are from all over Europe, and this has transformed a small village into a modern town with an international flare. You have international schools, great medical facilities and all other amenities nearby.
Villamartin has two championship golf courses; Campo de Golf Villamartin, which was home to the 1994 Mediterranean Open, and Campo de Golf Las Ramblas.
The little town has the feel of a charming Mediterranean village and offers all the modern amenities such as shops, banks, restaurants, bars, fitness facilities etc., as well as white sandy beaches that are never too crowded.
The plaza in the center of town is surrounded by palm trees which has become home to a small group of African Ring Neck Parrots. These parrots have achieved a celebrity status with the tourists, and are a very charming addition to this area.
Campoamor is a popular and well established seaside resort in the southern part of Orihuela Costa. It is the starting point for the Orihuela Costa Coastal Walk, and the Aguamarina Natural Park forms part of its coastline.
There are three main beaches; Cala de Campoamor, Playa de Campoamor and Caleta de la Glea, and they are all famous in the region for having the clearest water, and the best spot to snorkel.
The Marina is also an attraction on its own, with lively restaurants overlooking the beautiful yachts.
If you are a golf lover, you have three fantastic courses to choose from nearby: Club Real Campoamor, Villamartin and Las Ramblas Golf Course .
San Javier airport in Murcia is 15 minutes away, and Alicante International airport is 40 minutes away.
The tranquil resort urbanization of Playa Flamenca is situated close to the lively town of Torrevieja, and the area is home to delightful beaches, beautiful golf courses and lots of recreational facilities such as water parks, tennis, and go-carting.
Pilar de la Horadada
Pilar de la Horadada is a beautiful and charming coastal town located approximately 25 minutes drive north of Murcia San Javier airport and about 45 minute drive from Alicante airport.
It is located on a wonderful stretch of white sandy beaches and clear waters, and the town is surrounded by orchards and citrus groves.
The centre of Pilar de la Horadada is a shopper’s paradise with many nice boutiques, pastry shops, banks and restaurants along the main Calle Mayor.
This whole area is a golfers paradise with three fabulous golf courses within ten minutes drive.
The beaches and promenades of Mil Palmeras, Rincon and Puerto are very popular for sailing and water sports, and really come to life on hot summer nights with an array of bars and clubs.
Torre de la Horadada
Torre de la Horadada is a very charming little coastal town that is easily recognizable by its ancient watchtower, which was built as part of the coastal communication system to warn of impending attacks by pirates. Luckily the pirates are long gone and have been replaces by friendly people seeking the good life in the sun.
It has a large village square, several pristine white sandy beaches, a picturesque Marina and a lively promenade – all the ingredients you need for the perfect Spanish destination.
There are many restaurants and tapas bars where you can try some traditional dishes made from fresh fruit and vegetables from the region, not to mention the fantastic seafood.
Nearby you have the famous mud baths of Lo Pagan, where you can pamper yourself with a massage on the beach or enjoy a day at one of the amazing spas. Once your batteries are charged you are ready to explore the wide variety of leisure, entertainment and water activities the area has to offer.
